This piece emerged during a season of deep personal challenge—my husband’s cancer, a shattered kneecap, and family illness. Though I intended to paint flowers, mountains appeared instead, as if guided by something greater than myself. Painting has become my sanctuary, a place where sorrow and resilience meet. I call this work a gift from God—Mountains to Climb is a reminder that while the path ahead is steep, I am not climbing alone.
