To me, the power and magic of making art is revealed in the way an artist can start with a blank canvas and transform it into something altogether new; something that can communicate the artist's thoughts and feelings and inspire a feeling in others. A native of the Tampa, I have always appreciated the way natural light reflects onto the water from the buildings that line Tampa Bay. This is especially true at sunset when a gold and copper glow envelopes the city.
