  • Artist's Note

Driving to my husband's first day of participation in a clinical trial at the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, I was filled with fear. The future holds so much unknown. With the car radio turned on, I heard the late Bill Withers' voice as he sang, "Lean on Me." This song is one I listen to often. The opening lyrics, "Sometimes in our lives we all have pain / We all have sorrow / But if we are wise / We know that there's always tomorrow" hold so much comfort.

A sunrise peeking out from behind the sparkle of a new day, this is my painted interpretation of "Always Tomorrow." When you face challenging times, I hope you too will find comfort in the sunrise of a new day.
